International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
The UN has designated November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, stressing that nearly one in three women around the world are abused in their lifetime. The scourge has only worsened during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has led to a sharp increase in domestic violence. In France alone, more than one hundred women were killed by their current or former male partners in 2020.
