On today's edition, we dive into the origins of the UN’s Human Rights Day and focus on the state of women’s rights in Afghanistan and India. Solange Mougin takes us through the milestone signing in 1948 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. She also breaks down how interconnected such rights are with examples in Afghanistan. Finally, we speak to our New Delhi correspondent, Priyata Brajabasi about the state of women’s rights in India.
A programme produced by Amanda Alexander, Marina Pajovic and Georgina Robertson.
